Full Job Description

To undertake a Modern Apprenticeship Level 3 and provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Council Support Team.

There will be ongoing support from an external training provider to achieve the SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.

Duties:
You will provide reception and administrative support. With good interpersonal skills, you will be flexible, a team player, confident and able to converse with members of the public. Daily duties will include answering the telephone, meeting the public and visitors face to face, making room bookings, photocopying, word processing and a variety of general office tasks.

Training in the use of specialist software packages will be provided, however a basic knowledge and ability to use Mircrosoft Office packages is desirable.

You must provide evidence of competency in literacy and numeracy skills (minimum of three standard grades level 3 passes or National 4's including English and Mathematics)., 3 x National 4/5's or 3 x Standard Grades at General or Credit Level including Maths and English., Disability Confident

Days and Hour of Work:
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00
Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

Rate of Pay:
Under 18 years: £6.40 per hour
18-20 years: £8.60 per hour
21 and over: £11.44 per hour

An exciting opportunity have arisen for a Modern Apprenticeship within Council Support.

This opportunity is fixed term for 18 months.

The post will be based across various Council Support Teams based in John Muir House, Haddington or Penston House, Macmerry.
