Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar.

This job is workstyle 5- Flexi.

You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from home for part of your week and spend some time in council buildings to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.

The Modern Apprenticeship Programme is targeted at building our workforce of the future.

Due to funding restrictions this vacancy is open to 16-24 year olds who live in Angus and for disabled and care-experienced applicants between the ages of 16-26 who live in Angus.

As part of our Modern Apprenticeship programme, we will help you develop all the skills, knowledge and confidence you need and you will get full induction, training and support from the council and our training partners to take you through the nationally recognised qualification you will complete as part of the programme.

About the Role: As part of a team, you will work with colleagues in Economic Development with business administration. You will also have the opportunity to support data analysis, improve digital processes, create social media campaigns and assist the Skills and Employability Team with the delivery of Scottish Governments employability programmes.

You must hold as a minimum:

• Three National 4 Grades, including Mathematics and English or NC Level 4/SVQ Level 1 in Administration or other relevant subject, or equivalent qualification; or relevant office experience.

• Good oral communication skills

• Good written communication skills

• Good numeracy skills

• Good digital skills

You must:

• Have a good understanding of Business Administration and the importance of Customer Service.

• Be able to understand and follow instructions.

• Be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team.

• Be able to work to deadlines and produce accurate work.

• Be able to work with minimum supervision.

• Be committed to own personal development.

The successful candidate will be committed to:

• Completing the Modern Apprenticeship Programme.

• Willingness to learn, including using a variety of IT packages.

• Working effectively as part of the Business Service team.

This job is temporary until no later than 31 March 2026.
