Full Job Description

Service: Customer Support Services - ICT

Argyll and Bute Council's ICT Department are looking to recruit a Modern Apprentice for the role of Print and Mail Room Assistant based at Council Headquarters, Kilmory, Lochgilphead. This is a full time post working 35 hours per week.

The Apprentice role will run for 1 year during which the successful applicant will undertake a SCQF level 5 Business and Administration course in addition to daily duties.

About the role:

Duties include processing incoming and outgoing mail, scanning mail and assisting with general print operations. Applicants will preferably have experience using Microsoft Office, email and have good communication skills. Full training will be provided along with mentorship of the SCQF course.

You should take note of the requirements specified in the Job Description and Person Specification and include all necessary information when applying.

Please note we pay our apprentices £6.40 per hour for the first 6 months rising to the Scottish Local Government Living Wage thereafter (which is currently £11.89).

Your commencing full time equivalent salary will be £16,688.72 rising to £21,698.06. This is based on the number of working hours and weeks stated above.
