You'll join our dedicated support team based in one of our engineering depots. Gain valuable skills and qualifications while contributing to essential tasks that support our engineers.

This is more than just an apprenticeship, it's a springboard to your future. You'll receive a competitive salary, ongoing professional development, and the chance to earn a nationally recognised qualification while gaining experience in a dynamic and growing industry.

As an Engineering Administration Apprentice, you will:

* Process payroll, holiday, and sickness records for depot staff

* Maintain administration of rostering systems

* Monitor and track employee absences and returns to work

* Assist with reception duties, including managing diary bookings

As a minimum, applicants should have relevant skills, qualifications and/or experience at SCQF Level 4 (or above) including English. A business/admin subject is preferred but not essential.

You will learn how to use our systems, Word, Excel, and all Office 365 applications. You will learn about teamwork and how to manage your workload. You will learn how to communicate in a busy office environment, while developing essential customer service skills.

Your time will be divided between gaining real life workplace experience with ScotRail and allocated time each week to complete your qualification.
