Full Job Description

The Chief Security Office (CSO) are looking for a Technical Product Owner responsible for our Modern Workplace Security Feature Teams - Endpoint and Productivity, Collaboration and Information Protection. Our purpose is to ensure the security of the Microsoft365 Platform that supports colleagues across our Group. This includes securing Windows Operating System clients and Microsoft365 cloud productivity and collaboration tools like SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams and Identity. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers who are implementing, maintaining and developing modern workplace security technologies, primarily Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Purview. You will set the direction and roadmaps for the team in line with CSO outcomes, and working with the Modern Workplace Platform as a key partner, as well as the Lab Product Owner and Lab Engineering Lead. You'll be responsible for the release of incremental value contributing to our product with the main goal of realising value for our colleagues by ensuring that the team are working on the right priorities, ensuring the needs of the customer are front and centre. This is achieved by fostering collaborative, empowered teams, and nurturing them to take ownership of the relevant outcomes.

  • Experience in managing Microsoft Security Technologies
  • Experience in a Cyber Security Role
  • Experience managing a cross functional team of engineers.
  • Experience of working with Vendors.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft365 including Exchange, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Proven knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Intune.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise & multi-task in high volume workload situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively.
  • Experience of leading teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Driving forward a clear product vision, shape and manage product backlogs with a focus on achieving agreed outcomes and deliverables.
  • Experience with agile development methods & tooling e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence.
  • Strong influencing skills to achieve alignment up, down and across the organisation.
  • Strong on dependency management and effective resolution.
  • Any experience of these would be really useful
  • CISSP or CCSP Qualification
  • Microsoft Qualifications (SC and/or MS pathways)
  • Profession Scrum Product Owner L1
