We are seeking flexible and resilient individuals who enjoy a varied role and working as part of a close-knit team, to join our busy and dynamic frontline service.

The post holder will assist in providing emergency and support services to Edinburgh’s Telecare service users. You will visit users in their own homes and provide assistance and care to vulnerable adults.
The successful candidate will contribute to a variety of tasks that include answering calls from service users on the computerised calls handling facility, assessing the nature of an emergency call, prioritising the level of urgency, and responding accordingly.

You will maintain accurate records and statistics, and manage confidential records appropriately, where required.

You will be working to a 24/7 rota, which includes working 12 hour day and night shifts. Our current part-time vacancy, does not currently include nights.

Please note, the successful candidate will require a valid UK drivers licence.

As part of our goal to improve our organisational culture and create a great place to work together for the people of Edinburgh, we want to make sure that we’re bringing the best people into our roles, not just in their skills and experience but also in their approach to work.

To help achieve this, we’re changing the way we interview and assess candidates by moving from a competency-based interview approach to a behavioural and technical (skills for the job) based approach. This new way of interviewing will allow us to assess how you think and how you would bring Our Behaviours of Respect, Integrity and Flexibility into your ways of working.
