Aberdein Considine are looking for an experienced Mortgage Adviser to join our team in Glasgow/ Stirling. The ideal candidate will provide mortgage and protection advice in a compliant manner as detailed in the firm's compliance manual and procedures.. They will also ensure an outstanding client experience is delivered on every mortgage and protection case. ROLE OF DEPARTMENT
- Provision of Mortgage and Protection advice.
- To put the needs of our clients first at all times without exception. JOB PURPOSE
- Provision of Mortgage and Protection advice to our clients in a compliant manner as detailed in the firm's compliance manual and procedures.
- Ensure an outstanding client experience is delivered on every Mortgage and Protection case. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the relevant FCA rules at all times.
- Adhere to the relevant compliance, TCF, T&C, financial crime (anti-money laundering, data security, anti-bribery, fraud, and corruption) procedures of the firm at all times.
- Keep up to date with all relevant product, legislative and technical changes., Contact pre-booked appointments and potential clients in accordance with the firm's business plan/supervisor's guidance.
- Ensure sufficient client information obtained and analyse information gathered.
- Undertake sufficient product and market research and ensure suitable recommendations are made on Mortgages and Protection.
- Ensure all supporting documentation is maintained.
- Attain and maintain level of competence as required by the firm (CAS).
- Maintain all standards of performance as required by the firm.
- Communicating with other professionals, such as estate agents, solicitors and valuers.
- Ensure relevant CPD is maintained and recorded accurately., Ability and desire to travel to other offices in our Branch Network.
- Appointments are pre-qualified for the adviser in this role.
- Full administrative support is provided, and the role holder will have a dedicated Case Manager to work alongside them.
Essential - Full CEMAP (or equivalent). SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Essential
- Minimum 1 year experience as a mortgage broker. KNOWLEDGE Essential
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of compliance procedures including record keeping requirements. APTITUDES Essential
- Unquestionable work ethic.

- Be articulate with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, in person, by telephone and in written form.
