Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Telephone Consultant to join our Mortgage and Protection team in Aberdeen or Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and qualifying mortgage and protection appointments for advisers. ROLE OF DEPARTMENT

  • Managing inbound and outbound calls, and online enquiries from new and existing clients of Aberdein Considine, who require whole of market mortgage advice
  • Qualifying clients by gathering relevant information to be able to assess clients' ability to secure a mortgage and book clients in for an appointment with an adviser
  • Nurture clients who are the initial stages of their mortgage journey and manage through to an appointment with an adviser, Handling all inbound mortgage and protection related enquiries
  • Qualifying mortgage and protection appointments
  • Generating mortgage appointments from outbound calls to existing clients
  • Liaising with key stakeholders in the business, including mortgage advisers, property staff and senior managers
  • Creation and updating of accurate MI to evidence performance and drive improvements
  • Accurate data entry and updating of CRM system
  • Requesting and analysing credit files from clients with credit issues
  • Identifying opportunities for referrals to other areas of the Firm e.g. legal, estate agency, investment needs

    Essential
  • Confident communicator with experience of telephone sales
  • Well organised with an attention to detail
  • Driven, self-motivated with an ability and desire to work autonomously
  • Sales orientated with an ability to spot opportunities
  • Strong written communication
  • Numerate and comfortable with basic calculations
  • IT literate - good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Desirable
  • Basic understanding of mortgages and protection - not essential as full training will be given
  • Experience of building relationships over the telephone
  • Desire to progress career within Financial Services
