Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRICS Building Surveyor to join our client's dynamic team in Edinburgh. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, providing expert advice and ensuring the highest standards of service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed building surveys and inspections, producing comprehensive reports.
  • Manage and oversee construction and refurbishment projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Handle dilapidation cases, negotiating settlements between landlords and tenants.
  • Provide expert advice on party wall matters and prepare party wall agreements.
  • Develop design and specification documents for various construction projects.
  • Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and implement planned maintenance programs to ensure properties are kept in optimal condition.
  • Mentor and support junior surveyors, contributing to their professional development.

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualification is essential.
  • Extensive experience in building surveying, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Full UK driving license.
