Multi Skilled / Electrical Engineer

Th e p u r p ose o f th e Electrical M a i n t e n an c e e n g i n eer ro l e i s t o p ro v i d e P P M s e rv i c i ng and rea ct iv e b re a k d own s er v i c e to HMRC properties located in the northern region in support of the Lead Engineer. You w i ll be located at HMRC Queensway House, East Kilbride. You will provide the highest professional st an d ar d s in Electrical / HV A C / gas / mechanical se r vi c i n g and rea cti v e ma i n t en an c e i nc l u d i n g p lum b i n g and minor fabric wo r k s. Provide guidance on electrical related matters across the region and support resident site engineers as appropriate. Participation in an on-call rota will form part of the role. • C arry out a l l wo r k s u si n g a g reed s afe s y s t e ms of wo r k s refer r i ng t o r i sk a s s essm e n t s , method s t a t em e n t s and complying with Bellrock safe systems of work.
O b ey a ll site r u les and always wear appropriate uniform and PPE .
• C arry out rea ct i v e m a i n t e n an c e r e p airs t o our cus t om e r's p r e m i ses t o a g r eed KP I r es p onse t i mes c a rr y i ng out r e p a i rs t o t h e h i g h est s t an d ar d s and reporting any immediate defects or further works required .
• R ece i v e, attend and u p d a t e a l l j o b s i n a t i m ely ma n ner us i ng t h e p ro v i d ed I T e q u i p m ent, followed by a cc ura t e detailed rec o r d s both electronically and in the site daily logbooks.
• P rov i d e a cc ura t e and d etai l ed t i m e sheets encompassing of time and material usage via the Bellrock CAFM system (Concerto)
• Ensure t h at t h e h e l p d esk i s always updated w i t h your status, j o b p rogres s , j o b c om p let i o n , q uo t es r e q u i red et c .
and ensure t h e c u s t omer i s u p d a t ed at all times.
• T o wo r k w i t h i n t h e b u d g et c ons t raints of t h e i n di vi d u a l c on t ra ct a nd show c o m m ercial a c umen w h en ma k i n g d eci s i ons aro u nd forecasting and estimating works .
• E n s u re a l l a s s oc i a t ed p a p er work a nd c erti f i c a t es are c om p leted and s i g n ed b y t h e c us t omer t o ens u re the job c an b e i n v o i c ed.
• Management of outside suppliers when on site and confirmation of completed to works to correct standards.
• Provide guidance on Electrical / Gas / mechanical system issues and ensure operational safety of systems.
• Present a smart & pleasant demeanour when on and off site and engaging with the client.
• Any other duties commensurate with role and which the employer may reasonably require of you to perform.

• Recognised Apprenticeship in electrical Installation / Maintenance
• City and Guilds electrical 18
edition BS7671
• City Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing Desirable
• P roven e x p e r i ence i n electri cal / mechanical maintenance r o le is essential.
• Corporate / Healthcare / HTM / Critical Environment - e x p e r i e nce desirable
• SC Clearance is an essential requirement of this role. This will be applied for on successful employment and is provided by a Government Department.
Applications may take some time to be processed and therefore probation period may require to be extended if SC Clearance has not been achieved.
• I T l i t e ra c y essential (Word / Excel / CAFM usage)
• Experience of large complex electrical and building systems i.e., motors / pumps control panels, lighting and small power etc
• L.V distribution and associated system component fault finding experience i.e., ACB / MCB / PFC
• Flexible work attitude and ability to adapt to client business demands.

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from HMRC - Queensway House, Glasgow, G79 1AA (Mon - Fri 7.30am - 4pm). What can we offer you?
