Full Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Multimedia Artist who takes pride in their work and is ready to take ownership of the animation process, from conception to final delivery. This role requires a proactive individual with expertise in animation, visual effects, motion graphics, and video editing who can bring characters, lessons, and scenes to life. Working in our Edinburgh office, you'll collaborate closely with our team to produce captivating, high-quality content that aligns with our mission and objectives.,

  • 3D Animation: Develop animated characters and scenes that enhance our storytelling and bring educational materials to life.
  • Visual Effects (VFX): Create and integrate visual effects to add depth and realism to projects, ensuring high standards of visual appeal.
  • Motion Graphics: Design and implement motion graphics for presentations, educational materials, and videos, maintaining consistency with brand aesthetics.
  • Compositing: Create final videos that contain our animated and real footage that support storylines and captivate audiences.
  • Video Editing: Assemble footage, sync audio, and apply transitions and color grading to deliver polished, high-quality videos.
  • Collaborative Development: Work with the animation and content teams to brainstorm, storyboard, and execute creative concepts, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in educational media.

    Experience Required: 1-2 years in animation, visual effects, and motion graphics,
  • Bachelor's degree in Animation, Visual Arts, Multimedia, or a related field (or a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant skills).
  • Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and animation software such as Maya, Cinema 4D, or Blender.
  • Strong understanding of animation fundamentals, character development, and storytelling techniques.
  • Intermediate:
  • Knowledge of lighting, shadows, and textures to create realistic and immersive animations.
  • Experience in integrating animation with visual effects and motion graphics to create cohesive scenes.
  • Knowledge of scene tracking and being ability work between multiple softwares.
  • Good understanding of keying and working with green screens.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to feedback and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced:
  • Expertise in advanced animation techniques, including character rigging, lip-syncing, and physics-based animations.
  • Experience with compositing software for special effects and VFX production.
  • Knowledge of rendering workflows, asset management, and optimisation for different platforms.
  • Advanced understanding to green screen footage and manipulation and advanced knowledge of scene tracking.
