CMAC are now seeking to grow our national facility team providing operational and technical support for our infrastructure, world-class instrumentation and manufacturing research facilities to provide an environment that facilitates collaboration across academics, researchers and industry.

We are currently looking to recruit an ambitious, self-motivated Nanomedicines Technician working as part of Prof Yvonne Perrie research team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join an active research team investigating the formulation, development and manufacture of nanomedicines. We are investigating the use of a range of nanomedicines (including lipid nanoparticles, liposomes and polymeric nanoparticles) for the delivery of drugs (small molecules and biologicals) and vaccines (including sub-unit and RNA-based vaccines).

As a Nanomedicines Technician you will assist in the execution of projects for clients under the guidance and support of senior colleagues. The post-holder will build on existing operating procedures and develop new procedures as required to maintain and improve equipment/facilities. You will manage and prioritise your own workload, ensuring that all activities are completed to deadlines ensuring data is captured and results reported to senior colleagues or clients as required.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to prioritisation and scheduling of their own workload. The post-holder must have strong problem-solving abilities, demonstrating innovation and creativity in dealing with research challenges.
