Full Job Description
Support in prioritising and requesting resources to meet demand, including running associated Directorate governance. Oversight of SM Directorate 2
- area business cases ensuring all governance has been applied prior to finance and commercial involvement. Acting as POC for business case and finance support for the 1
- areas. Scrutinise routine expenditure proposals prior to budget holder approval including: Force Development and Adventure Training Working functions External Training Requirements Ad-Hoc applications (Eye tests, Professional Subscriptions, Overtime) Ad-Hoc reimbursements of expenditure. Coordinating Directorate in-year rewards, commendations and honours processes to recognise and incentivise the workforce's contributions and achievements. Supporting Business Management head with other ad hoc requests from Dir SM / DNE / RN HQ Support with management of the centrally held budget of circa £4m a year (includes Travel and Subsistence, In Year Awards and Training). Manage SM Dir's Business Continuity Plan and conduct routine Business Impact Analysis as directed by NCHQ. Ensure the Directorate has procedures in place to comply with Navy corporate policies and directives (e.g. Information Knowledge and Data, Business Continuity). This will include monitoring associated mandatory training take up. Represent & secure Directorate requirements for corporate provision of facilities - e.g. desk allocation/ IT. Establish & run governance to support pan-Directorate business management decisions, including securing relevant data to inform decision making Line management of the Business Management Team (HEO support). Deputise for Business management Head as required
