Responsible for the day to day co-ordination of Outpatient waiting lists and clinics within the Speciality service, ensuring achievement of national and local targets set by the Scottish Government including:

  • Prompt and accurate input of patient details to appropriate waiting lists and clinic appointments
  • Ensure appropriate scheduling of clinics
  • Ensure confirmation of booking to reduce DNA rates to maximise capacity utilising new technologies
  • Provide advice and information to patients on outpatient, clinic and appointment arrangements for Health Records to book
  • Supervising clerical officers within team and deputising for Team Leader as and when required
  • Ensuring Sensorineural patients have an outpatient & audiology plan within 48 hours working closed with the ENT doctors.
  • Validation of outpatient and inpatient waiting lists in accordance with NHS protocols
