Full Job Description

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. 

The post holder will have responsibility for audiological assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of children with hearing impairments.  Performing and analysing test results to develop programmes of care and ongoing management plans. The post holder will monitor the effectiveness of the treatment arranged in liaison with the wider multi-disciplinary team and will evaluate these programmes ensuring the delivery of high-quality care for patients.

COMBINED AS RESULTED

Review of the patients condition appropriately will be undertaken utilising clinical notes and the required re-evaluation of patient needs, ensuring each patient has a comprehensive ongoing management plan, imperative for good patient experience and outcomes.

Assists Chief and Senior Audiologists in the daily clinical work of the department and is responsible for managing own workload.
