  • Water impact assessments
  • Water network investigations and operations
  • Leakage Investigations
  • Asset surveys
  • Water quality monitoring, sampling, investigations, and interventions
  • At present we are looking for Technicians to join our Night Shift Sampling Team, working Monday to Thursday 10pm - 6am. The role is based in Stepps but will require travel across Scotland. About The Team: Our Team assess, diagnose, and determine the most appropriate solution to reduce leakage and fully support the delivery of regulatory targets and work to pinpoint leakage with a level of accuracy that delivers a great service for clients.,
  • You will work as part of a two-person team, with an experienced Senior Technician, collecting samples on behalf of our client, Scottish Water.
  • You will be operating from defined hydrants recording operations to report back to our client on water quality parameters.

    Do you have a full driving license and preferably experience in the water industry with a background in water networks and water operations? Or keen to learn and start a career in the water industry?, A full UK driving license is required for this role.
  • You must be confident and enjoy working outdoors, sometimes in remote environments in all weathers.
  • Health and safety culture - ability to risk assess, spot hazards and identify control measures to allow safe working.
  • Flexibility to work away from home when required.
  • Ambitious, solution focused, "can-do" attitude.
  • You will be relied on to use your own initiative, be well organised and be able to balance delivering a range of tasks.
  • Deliver high quality outputs and accurate reporting to schedule.
  • Competent IT skills as all data capture and progress reporting is electronic
  • Working to policies and procedures.
  • Must always communicate openly and honestly.
  • Team working but equally confident working alone.
  • Contribute to a well-rounded and highly skilled team to help meet KPIs and grow the business.

    This role may involve:
  • Moving heavy items including inspection chamber covers.
  • Working in all weather conditions (this could include night work also).
  • You may be required to work in confined spaces and on highways.
  • Please note mandatory drugs and alcohol tests are undertaken for this role and a DBS check will be undertaken.
