Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri 9-5.

An exciting opportunity has arisen, we are looking to recruit a full-time permanent NTL for Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) within East Renfrewshire. You would be joining a friendly, supportive and well-established MDT team. This post is 37 hours per week. The post holder will provide professional leadership and operational management to the CMHT in East Renfrewshire HSCP.  The NTL will play a pivotal role as we embark on reshaping our Mental Health & Recovery Services to develop a more integrated model of service delivery. We are currently reviewing our Mental Health & Recovery services with a focus on management and integration across the family of mental health and HSCP services with a view to more closely align the leadership of our teams.

The post may include video, telephone, and/or face to face interactions with staff and the post holder will carry a reduced caseload of patients they will oversee and monitor in the community setting. 

The post holder will:

  • Actively contribute to change management, clinical/ care governance activity and collaborate and work closely with other members of the multi-agency, multi-disciplinary teams at both a local and National level where required.
  • Be expected to deputise in the absence of the Senior Management and provide cross cover to other Teams to ensure safe, effective and efficient service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Youll have excellent communication skills and skills in providing leadership to regulated and unregulated professional.
  • Management and experience of working in the mental Health field is essential.
