Summary

We are currently seeking applications for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, experienced and qualified individual to fill the following post in our Victoria Quay Childcare Team:

NURSERY PRACTITIONER

VICTORIA QUAY NURSERY, EDINBURGH, EH6 6QQ

32 hours/week (Monday - Thursday, hours between 7.30am - 6.30pm)

Salary will be pro rata based on 32hrs/wk and depending on qualification.

The successful applicant will work as part of a team delivering a high-quality early learning and childcare service for children aged 0-5 years within a workplace nursery setting.

Successful applicants will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Pre-Birth to 3 Guidance and/or the early level of the Curriculum for Excellence, experience of working with 0-5 year olds and the ability to work as part of a team in the planning, implementation and evaluation of high-quality learning opportunities.

Applicants must currently hold, be willing to or already be working towards a relevant childcare qualification for this role.

Please note that all applicants for this post must be eligible to:

• Register at practitioner level with the Scottish Social Services Council.


• Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme.


• Work in the UK and have the relevant documents to prove this.


• Pass stringent Scottish Government Security Clearance Protocols.
