Position

An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist based at Johnnie Walker Bond, Kilmarnock

What you will do:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the East Ayrshire Intermediate Care Team (ICT) as an Occupational Therapist.  The ICT is a multi-disciplinary team thats aim is to prevent avoidable hospital admissions and reduce delayed hospital discharges by assessing needs and providing rehabilitation with/without care support in the home setting.

As part of this multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will manage their own caseload and work alongside colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.  The post holder should be able to demonstrate evidence-based skills in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised treatment plans and will be responsible for the delegation of work and supervision, training and development of students.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

This is an opportunity to work in a community setting alongside partners to maintain people in their own homes, providing individualised care plans and tailored rehabilitation. You will also have an opportunity to gain new skills and have an active role in team development.

This post offers an excellent opportunity to work in a creative and autonomous manner and to develop knowledge and skills in partnership working.  The post also offers flexible/agile working.

You will understand the current national and local drivers influencing change and be able to evidence continuous professional development.

Hours:

18.5 hours 5 days/7 Days, weekend working is on a 1 in 8 basis rota.  Enquiries welcomed from individuals seeking job share or part time hours.

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
