An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Community Mental Health Service in Angus. This post will be based in the South Angus Community Mental Health Team in Arbroath. The post holder will provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention for people aged 16- 65 years experiencing mental health problems which impact on their occupational performance, enabling them to achieve their best possible personal outcomes within their homes and communities.

We use occupation as the foundation of our work in collaboration with people as a basis for bringing value and purpose to their lives. Our interventions are based on current evidence and are regularly evaluated. We use individual and group work approaches to support goal achievement, empowerment through independence and supported self-management.

You will be HCPC registered with excellent written and verbal skills. You will be forward thinking and enjoy working as part of a team.

We are looking for a compassionate person with a genuine interest in mental health and wellbeing and a commitment to promoting the value of occupational therapy.

Our Service provides excellent formal and informal supervision, actively supports individual development through performance development review using the TURAS Appraisal system. Our Service also encourages CPD and promotes innovative practice.
