Full Job Description

The Office IT team provide various levels of governance and service but primarily they have the accountability for ensuring the tools provided to internal and external system users are fit for purpose, delivered within their Service Level Agreements and over the top demand delivery meets the customer requirement. The Asset Management Specialist has accountability for the asset management of all of Vodafone UK IT assets, ensuring that processes and polices are adhered to by all employees of Vodafone. Reporting on a weekly basis to both team and stakeholders. Having the ability to proactively create and maintain new practices to ensure security of our estate is upheld. You will need to be a team player, robust, tenacious and driven with a keen eye for detail. Main responsibilities :

  • Act as liaison between VF-UK and VF-Group Asset Management teams
  • Weekly and monthly reporting updates
  • Provide asset management services in the UK estate, ensuring internal device policies are adhered to and measures such as asset deviation are kept in line with global targets
  • Coordinate and run business takeaway calls on daily/weekly/monthly basis as required
  • Create and implement OIT AM Policies which will be relevant for the whole user base
  • Working with other internal departments to ensure security of the estate
  • Ensuring VF assets are compliant with VF policies
  • Auditing of all Vodafone UKOIT manned sites, ensuring stock levels are accurate
  • Working with users and line managers to ensure compliance of polices

    Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to translate IT language into business language
  • Highly organised with the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong creative skills
  • Confident, collaborative working style and able to interface with people of all levels
  • High attention to detail
  • Proven experience supporting change initiatives with strong analytical skills
  • ITIL Foundation certificate desired but not essential
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
  • Awareness and interest in current technological & industry trends and initiatives
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to work across cross-functional and cultural boundaries to deliver service and change
