Full Job Description

INTERNAL APPLICANTS MUST APPLY VIA MYSELF 

The post holder is responsible to the Customer Services Librarian (Digital Inclusion) for the effective strategic development, management and review of the service-wide theme of digital learning and the efficient and effective management and operation of the Open Learning Services in the south area of North Lanarkshire in accordance with NLC policies and procedures. 

Key areas of work will include working in partnership with LogintoLearn colleagues to effectively develop, manage and co-ordinate all relevant thematic activities and resources within the designated area to achieve their maximum potential and effectiveness and bring forward recommendations as appropriate, effectively managing and co-ordinating all open learning activities within the relevant area to achieve their maximum potential and effectiveness, and bringing forward recommendations as appropriate and ensuring that sound customer care practices are implemented, especially in relation to responsive and efficient public services. 

You must hold an SVQ level 4 (HND, general degree or equivalent) and SQA Assessor and Verifier Units D32/33/34 or A1 and V1 or L9 & D 9 and L11 & D11. You must have experience in dealing with the public on a one-to-one basis and in groups in a training environment, the ability to assist and deal with a wide range of ICT packages and platforms, including social media, good interpersonal skills and a high level of self-motivation and commitment to delivering a quality customer focussed service. 

You will have staff supervisory experience, general library experience and the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. 

The post holder will be required to travel throughout North Lanarkshire. 

As a requirement of these posts, the successful candidates must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland. 

Work Pattern: 

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

1 Hour Unpaid Break each day
