Full Job Description

The successful candidate will work in the Tax Reporting team, which works closely with Investment Management and other stakeholder departments across the business to deliver a high quality tax reporting service. The Tax Reporting team are responsible for: Capital Gains Tax reporting, maintenance of client tax data in CGiX, acting as the point of contact for CGT related queries. This role can be based in Glasgow or Liverpool.,

  • Assist in all aspects of Capital Gains Tax administration, from service set-up through to investor reporting production.
  • Act as a contact point for queries raised across the business for CGT related queries related to internal custody or through our custodian Pershing Securities and SEI.
  • Maintain MI relating to Tax Reporting functions, highlighting issues to the Tax Reporting Manager upon exposure.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, and contribute to ad-hoc projects, as required.
  • Strict adherence to internal company policies and compliance procedures.
  • Undertaking training and competence reviews as required by the business.

    Previous experience of working in financial services/Investment Operations is desirable but not essential
  • Good analytical skills: proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong inter-personal and problem solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a team as well as independently
  • Highly organised and be able to multi-task effectively
  • Adaptable to changes in process and the use of new systems
  • Holding, or willing to study towards, the CISI 'Investment Operations Certificate (IOC)' is desirable
