Full Job Description

Bio Capital are a growing renewables company with numerous sites based throughout the UK, creating renewable electricity, natural fertiliser and renewable gas. The role of the Organics Recycling Manager is to be responsible for the management of existing clients and identifying new clients for compost and/or biofertiliser to maximise beneficial use and financial return, whilst ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements across our Scottish Region.,

  • Work within Company values and best practices.

  • Negotiate and contract with local farmers the supply of biofertiliser and compost products.

  • Identification and management of storage locations.

  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and Health and Safety requirements.

  • Assist in pricing strategy and promotional activities.

  • Oversee transport of materials from the sites of production to clients for direct spreading or over-winter storage to a program that allows sites to optimise their operations.

  • Ongoing management of accounts including working to budgets, revenue targets and contractual obligations where relevant.

  • Demonstrable compliance with applicable environmental and farming regulations.

  • Advise clients as required to ensure the correct usage of materials supplied. This may be general advice as to the replacement of artificial fertilisers, or more specific agronomic advice to ensure compliance with various certification scheme requirements.

  • Promote best practice and sustainable use of materials.

  • Interact positively with customers and support operations teams.

  • Attend internal meetings and external conferences.


  • Must be willing to travel on a regular basis particularly across Scotland.

  • UK Driving Licence

  • Hold a FACTS Qualification which is current and valid as per scheme requirements.

  • 2 years relevant industry experience is essential

  • Working knowledge of fertiliser use in arable and grass systems is essential.

  • Previous control of the application of biofertiliser/compost to land is desirable.

  • Knowledge of biofertiliser/compost and AD/IVC systems is desirable.
