Overhead Linesperson

Base Location: Perth or Dundee

Salary: £37,075 - £43,063 + Standby payments, overtime, and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Linesperson to join our Transmission Operations business supporting our inspection and maintenance operations across the whole Scotland region.

The duties and responsibilities of the Overhead Linesperson are:

- Carrying out key inspection, maintenance & repair activities on our 132, 275 & 400kV Transmission overhead line networks. This will occasionally require you to work away from your base location area during the week and/or at weekends. Overnight accommodation and meal allowances are provided. There will also be a requirement to undertake out of hours standby duties.

- Supporting the safety of yourself and colleagues and acting as ambassador for a strong safety culture in everything you do.

- Responding to emergency situations to investigate, plan and carry out repairs as required., At SSEN Transmission, we take immense pride in owning and operating the high-voltage electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland. An industry recognised OHL qualification for both wooden pole and steel tower access and rescue or proven previous experience working on the electricity network.

- A qualification from a recognised overhead line training provider.

- Experience in the construction and / or maintenance of overhead power lines.

- You'll be very comfortable working at height, enjoy working outdoors, whatever the weather.

- Good communication skills with an ability to work well in a team environment.
