Full Job Description

As P2P Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting and administering the Procure to Pay (P2P) process as part of the Procurement and Commercial Shared Service Centre's (SSC) portfolio.

- You will be part of a team who provide a helpdesk service to both the Procurement function and wider SSE business, providing guidance and support in the use of P2P systems, processes and master data management.

- You will ensure P2P systems are maintained effectively to allow efficient purchasing and deliver a good customer experience.

- You will support the Purchasing process from the onboarding of new suppliers through to the placement and management of Purchase Orders. You will also assist Procurement users in creating and managing Purchasing Agreements.

- Catalogue and content management will form a key part of this role along with project delivery in conjunction with other Procurement teams (Digital, Standards & Assurance, Data & Insight).

To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of SSE as a diverse business with ability to interpret business needs and manage expectations with a range of different customers.

- You should be familiar with general procurement procedures and have excellent communication and analytical skills. Using the principles of continuous improvement, you will also make suggestions to further enable process efficiencies within the Procurement and Commercial Shared Service.

- You should be process orientated with experience of using Procurement related software such as ERP (Oracle) and Sourcing to Contract (Jaggaer) systems. Further experience of using CRM or ITSM tools such as ServiceNow is also preferred.

- Being able to work independently as well as part of a team is important, as is managing your time effectively and working to deadlines.
