Painter & Decorator

Our Client based in Aberdeen is looking for a full-time temporary painter and decorator to join the maintenance and property department.
This is a full time role with 39 hours a week Monday to Friday 08:00am to 16:30pm with an early finish on a Friday.

Responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out general painting and decorating duties to a high standard.
* Implementing and ensuring health and safety standards are met by all whilst working on own duties.
* Maintaining positive working relations with clients and other members of staff
* Establishing, agreeing and implementing a routine to carry out daily, weekly and monthly tasks in consultation with the Head of Business, Property Inspector and Asset & Facilities Manager.
* Any other duties that may be applicable to the candidate proving they are within their capabilities.
* Stripping, cutting & hanging of wallpaper
* Applying finishing paint to both internal and external surfaces with gloss, emulsion, woodstain, varnish, primer and undercoat.
* Tapping plasterboard surfaces
* Manual handling

The successful candidate will have a full Licence and their own transport. The relevant experience as a painter and decorator or hold a City & Guilds, Scotvec or any equivalent qualification in the industry.
