Painter and Decorator


This post will be based in Livingston, with a requirement to work and travel across Scotland.

The Role

Our property and asset management function is key to our service delivery and we are looking for a qualified, experienced Painter and Decorator to work within our In House Maintenance Team to deliver our cyclical and reactive painter work programme. You will be required to work independently to organise and plan your work in order to achieve our required standards and timescales as well as part of the wider maintenance team.


About You


You will have a City and Guilds or SVQ/NVQ qualification and evidence of continuing professional development. This role requires experience in painting and decorating in occupied properties. The postholder will have a good standard of IT literacy and all-round knowledge of email and will have experience of cost control related to painter work.


This role requires a wide understanding of the building industry, including knowledge of materials and construction methods. You will have a commitment to deliver quality and continuous improvement to meet customer expectations and proven experience of providing excellent customer care.


As Painter and Decorator, you will have strong communication skills, both oral and written and excellent planning and organisation skills. You will have the ability to work within a team. This role requires a full UK Driving Licence.
