Full Job Description

Working in a highly professional environment you will be skilled at building rapport with customers whilst working quickly and efficiently, giving your customers and Clients the best possible Claims experience. You will demonstrate a strong and proactive approach to management of your own caseload and commitment to customer service. You will be maintaining ownership of your allocation of Claims, setting up and handling each case from first notification to settlement in accordance with company procedures. You will ensure claims are settled economically and efficiently and adhere to your personal authority limits and referring for authorisation above that, if required. You will build be responsible for buiding, developing, and maintaining close working relationships with Customers ensuring a consistently high standard of service is provided,

  • Proactively manage a case load of current and back logged cases

  • Work with third party insurers to produce effective results and timely completions, providing ongoing instructions to achieve the best results for the business

  • To manage our clients expectations by obtaining necessary information

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including claims handlers and solicitors, to gather necessary information for case preparation

  • Conduct negotiations with opposing parties and insurers to achieve favourable outcomes

  • Dealing with resourceful risk assessments

  • Carrying out a thorough examination of our clients financial circumstances

  • Organising and collating special damage as well as obtaining supporting documents

  • Build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Resolving complaints and providing timely resolutions

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of claims

  • Ability to use own initiative to explore all options to achieve the best outcome for the business

  • Commercial market awareness regarding PI and/or credit hire and all relevant case laws

  • Provide regular updates to clients on the progress of their cases

    Experience within Motor Claims

  • Strong customer service, communication and negotiation skills

  • Methodical and accurate approach to work

  • Strong attention to detail and natural problem solving abilities, Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to remain professional

  • Knowledge of the civil court procedures and relevant case laws relevant to credit hire

  • The ability to problem solve with exceptional organisational skills and a result driven attitude

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to structure and prioritise workload

  • A persuasive, strong and confident communicator

  • Credit hire claims experience and extensive working knowledge within personal injury is preferred

  • Strong negotiation skills with litigation experience is preferred

  • Previous experience as a claims handler within motor claims
