Full Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join our team! This is a permanent position, working from home, and we'll provide you with all the IT and equipment you'll need.,

  • If we would like to take your application further, we'll invite you to an introductory Zoom meeting with the Directors where we can have a relaxed, informal chat about the role and to answer any questions you may have.

  • If you/we would like to proceed to the next stage, we'll ask you to showcase your skills by undertaking a straightforward technical test, which will involve writing a simple suitability report and undertaking a simple bond calculation (you can use whatever tools you wish to help with this).

  • If your technical test fits the bill, we'll invite you to a formal interview (via Zoom) where you can meet the team and find out more about working with Go Paraplanning. We will provide you with a list of our main questions in advance of the meeting, so you've got plenty of time to consider them rather than being put on the spot!

  • It's a rare opportunity to join a lovely, small, friendly company, working with good quality financial planning firms, at the cutting edge of the paraplanning profession. Plus, we take great care of our team. This is a real chance to take your skills to the next level.

This role therefore necessitates you having a strong level of technical knowledge, and substantial experience of working in a Paraplanning position. You don't need to have been an outsourcer before - we'll provide you with training to adapt to the outsourcing world - you just need to bring with you the necessary paraplanning and life skills.

We are particularly looking for someone with:
  • Excellent English language and spelling.

  • A very good eye for detail.

  • A positive and friendly demeanour.

  • A sense of humour.

  • Common sense, and an ability to work on your own, as well as part of a team.

  • The ability to learn quickly, to multi-task, and to manage your own workload.

  • Good numeracy and IT skills.

  • A curious nature and the confidence to challenge people politely, professionally and diplomatically.

  • An honest, reliable and trustworthy disposition.
