Receptionist

22.5 hours per week: Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays  

Permanent / Part Time

Hospice Band 2 – £24,365 pro-rata (based on 37.5 hours per week), rising to £25,368 pro-rata (following review & satisfactory performance) + Unsocial enhancement + Pension

 

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and experienced receptionist to join our Reception team on a part-time permanent basis. This is a key role, providing a welcoming first point of contact to patients and their families, and to all visitor to the Hospice, whilst operating a switchboard in a warm, confident and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will have previous reception experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to deal with a wide range of people. You’ll be able to communicate with others in a warm, friendly and helpful manner, both face-to-face and on the telephone, and assist others in a friendly and empathetic way.

You’ll have the ability to deal with difficult situations calmly and professionally, and through your flexible approach, you will adapt to a range of tasks in an often-changing and unpredictable environment. You will support and be supported by a team of volunteer receptionists, so experience of working with volunteers would be an advantage.
