Department/Role overview

An exciting opportunity to take a lead role in managing the partner remuneration and capital contributions for Ashurst's 500 plus global partners.

The role sits within the Partnership Tax and Partner Services Team based in the Glasgow Financial Management Team. Reporting to the Senior Partnership Accounting Manager and working closely with the Partnership Accounting Assistant and Partnership Reporting Accountant.

Main responsibilities

  • Supervision of monthly partner payments processes and associated monthly reporting
  • Supervision of annual distribution payments and associated FX arrangements
  • Supervision of partner capital contribution and interest reporting and tracking
  • Preparation of annual partner remuneration and capital notices for all global partners
  • Preparation of annual distribution and annual profit statements for LLP partners
  • Support senior manager with annual partner profit allocation and profit clearing processes
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert support to technical team building new Partner Remuneration Database
  • Main point of contact for auditors on partner remuneration matters
  • Liaison with associated teams including accounting & reporting, partner tax, partner services and resourcing.
  • Provision of ad-hoc reports as requested by senior management

Essential skills and experience

  • 10 plus years working as an accountant in a management accounting environment
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a multi-currency global accounting environment
  • Experience of working within a professional services environment preferred
  • Relevant accounting qualifications preferred
  • Experience of working with Thomas Reuters 3E accounting system and Cognos TM1 desirable but not essential
  • High level of Excel knowledge
  • Confident communicating to senior stakeholders
  • Self-starter who is also a team player
  • Attention to detail essential
