Full Job Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Patient Flow Team at Raigmore Hospital. This post will cover both medical and surgical flow.
Working as a Patient Flow Co-ordinator you will support the daily management of pro-active patient flow through Raigmore Hospital by maximising the effective utilisation of beds and balancing the requirements of emergency and elective admissions.
The post holder will work with Theatres and the clinical teams to provide reliable and consistent information to the Patient Flow Manager and Senior Operational Management Team. The post holder will also be required to work closely with Discharge Liaison Nurse colleagues.
As a Patient Flow Co-ordinator your hours will be worked across 7 days providing a 24 hour service. We are a friendly, flexible team and are committed to supporting every member of the team with a good work life balance.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
