NHS Ayrshire and Arran is recruiting for a payroll assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The post is based at Alisa Hospital in Ayr and is offered on a permanent basis. What you will do: You will have delegated responsibility for the payment of expense claims across the Health Board, and also a payroll section of bank workers in order to ensure that the Boards statutory and financial obligations are met., As part of the Payroll Service Team, you will work to deliver a high quality payroll and expenses service.,

    You should ideally be educated to Standard Grade Credit Level/Nat 5 level and must be proficient, or demonstrate ability to become proficient, in statutory payroll legislation i.e. Pay As You Earn (PAYE) which covers Income Tax, National Insurance, Student Loans, etc.
  • You must be proficient in Microsoft Office packages e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint , Access and have good attention to detail required for high volume, accurate processing of information.
