Full Job Description

On behalf of our client, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, we are looking for a Disaster Recovery (Program Manager) to join their team.

Reporting to the Director, Cyber Security, the Disaster Recovery (Program Manager) is responsible for ensuring Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries (MBLL) can recover and restore information technology in response to significant technology disruptions and disasters.

The position leads the program lifecycle and governance processes for the Disaster Recovery Management (DRM) program. The incumbent also works with IT and business stakeholders to design or prepare technology applications, infrastructure, and systems for resilience and recovery and develop and maintain plans and skilled teams to respond to significant technology disruptions.

The Disaster Recovery (Program Manager) is Responsible For :

  • Working across ITS and MBLL divisions, developing, maintaining and updating Business Impact Analysis (BIA) documentation for key business systems.

  • Planning, building, running, and managing the enterprise-wide DRM program, including DR strategies and alignment with business requirements, recovery priorities, plan development, plan exercising, annual program agendas and recovery improvement metrics.

  • Serving as the key IT representative to enterprise BCM ensuring that IT technologies and processes support all key availability and recovery requirements and identify gaps and opportunities for the DRM program to address to meet or improve recovery and resilience.

  • Working across ITS and with the business for annual business planning, budget development and business cases for DRM driven capital or operational initiatives.

  • Overseeing the design, execution, and continuous improvement of DR plans through rigorous exercising.

  • Managing the enterprise's IT response, recovery, and restoration activities during an actual disaster or when a business disruption occurs.

    Completion of a degree or diploma program in a related IT discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A minimum of ten years' experience in an IT support and service delivery or IT Project Manager role supporting Enterprise Class systems and applications with a minimum of three years in a supervisory / leadership role.

  • A minimum of two years' experience with Disaster Recovery planning and exercise testing.

  • Progress towards Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) accreditation.

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or Prince2 certification is considered an asset.

  • Expertise in Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (LGCA) legislation and technical standards or other regulated industry is considered an asset.
