Payroll Manager Glasgow Central Hybrid Working
WA is partnering with a business based in Glasgow to help source a Payroll Manager to join a hugely established and successful team. Our client offers hybrid working.
Our client offers bespoke support services where they operate high standards putting customers at the heart of their delivery.
The Payroll Manager will oversee our clients' payroll teams and pension team and ensure colleagues are paid accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and leading Payroll Team to ensure all our Payrolls are delivered on time and accurately
- Managing and lead Pension Team
- Providing support and training to all payroll staff on dealing with varying pay enquiries
- Performing routine control checks/ auditing on payroll processes
- Processing End to End Payroll when Payroll Operations Managers and Team Leaders are absent, or business needs require
- Provide analytical data or reports to Stakeholders
- Ensuring all Third party, advance payments are checked, approved, and paid on time
- Payroll sign off for all Payrolls before going to Finance departments for approval
- Ensuring all Payroll Manuals/ Workflows are kept up to date
- Participate and lead cross-functional teams to implement new processes and/or recommend changes
- Ensure Payroll dashboard is completed accurately
Personal Specification
Essential
- A proven track record in Payroll data administration and managing a Payroll Team.
- Specialist system knowledge
- Possess the management skills to lead, develop and motivate a team
- Knowledge of payroll systems, taxation, statutory and national insurance rules
- Problem solving skills (calculations, numeracy, analytical)
- Proficient in use of MS Excel (spreadsheets)
- Attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines and competing priorities
- Skill to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Strong relationship management skills
Desirable
- CIPP qualification is desired
- Oracle experience is desired
- iTrent experience is desired
- Business Object experience is desired
- One Advanced experience is desired
