Payroll Officer

Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be recruiting for a Payroll Officer for our oil service company client who have a heavy focus on renewable energy. This is a full time, fixed term contract position, which will be based from our client's office in Bridge of Don and should last for a period of 10 months.

The Opportunity

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for processing payroll on a monthly basis. You will be working closely with the payroll provider, the business and HR to ensure an accurate payroll. Duties will include:

• Management of payroll timetable and internal deadlines
• Management and resolution of employee payroll queries
• Management of payroll files and records
• Payroll administration of salary sacrifice schemes
• Maintenance of float and salary advance information
• Management of the P11D/PSA process
• Administration of pension scheme memberships
• Journal creating and maintenance
• Reconciliation of wage accounts
• Administration of employee recharges
• Maintenance and distribution of balance statements for Guaranteed Earnings to employees and relevant management

Background and experience

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, have keen eye for detail, be able to use initiative and have excellent communication skills. Experience managing a payroll for c.500 employees with various allowance structures in place would be beneficial.
