Full Job Description

Eden Scott are delighted to be retained by our client, Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living (LCiL), to support the recruitment of a Payroll Services Manager to join their team.


Due to an internal promotion within the business, there is an active position within the team to support the day-to-day management of the Payroll and Financial Management services.


LCiL is a not-for-profit organisation who support those and families/careers of those with disabilities and long-term illnesses to live independently. They provide a wide range of services to support independent living, which includes providing a payroll service for disabled people who want to employ their own staff.


This role does not require any prior payroll experience. This role is suited to any candidate with previous managerial experience within any sector as training is provided on the payroll side. You must be a process-driven individual, who is capable of working to strict deadlines and who can continue to deliver on the mission and values of the organisation.


This is a full time (35.75 hours per week), permanent position with hybrid working based out in their office at Norton Park Business and Conference Centre. The salary on offer is 30,000 however each year there is a 4% uplift in salary.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Line Management Support: i.e. developing members of staff who are looking to progress, undertake regular reviews to ensure staff is being all round supported and support with any queries or issues, training of new members.
  • Service Design, Management and Delivery: Overseeing the day-to-day of Payroll and Financial Management Services, be heavily involved in GDPR compliance, produce reports to the board
  • Engagement: Build and maintain communication with external stakeholders, key individuals and agencies in both public and private sectors.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Direct managerial experience
  • (BENEFICIAL) Some level of experience within payroll processing/administration
  • Ability to prepare and present reports to stakeholders
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload
