Full Job Description

At our Lockerbie site we have created a permanent vacancy within manufacturing . we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of contractor compliance PTW and LOTO coordinator. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all people on site comply with the permit to work (PTW) and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all involved parties. The coordinator will oversee contractor activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, proper execution of PTW and LOTO processes, and effective communication among all stakeholders.   • Champion Work Permit (PTW) activities, co-ordinating work permit for planned maintenance, emergency work and project activities including; Work at Height, breaking into lines ,LV voltage, Hot Work, asbestos and Confined Space Entry permits.
  • Co-ordinating the execution of all preparatory work by operations (e.g. LOTO), required for efficient and safe handover of the installation to maintenance or projects.
  • Drive Safety and Compliance: Assist, approving and issuing RAMS, PTW, LOTO processes, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide training on global policies, PTW, LOTO, and oversee contractor activities
  • Conduct regular field visits, audits, and spot checks to ensure safety and compliance
  • Ensure effective permit hand back processes and maintain permit documentation standard, Improving the permit to work flow to enhance safety and efficiencies through data analysis and KPI tracking.

    Previous experience working with PTW /LOTO procedures and contractor control within a fast paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety activities, ideally holding a recognised qualification such as IOSH/NEBOSH accreditation
  • Able to work cross functionally and collaboratively, effectively planning in activities via our CMMS so experience would be desirable, with experience across SAP being preferrable.
