We are seeking a Personal Assistant to support a bright and motivated 44-year-old autistic male who thrives with a life coach-style approach. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to provide guidance and support while building a meaningful connection. About the Role Our client would benefit from a structured and reflective approach to overcome daily barriers and stay organised. You will:
- Assist him in attending work, offering on-the-spot support to manage social challenges and regulate emotions.
- Help organise, prepare for appointments, and manage daily tasks.
- Accompany him to activities and outings, ensuring he remains confident and independent. This role is led by the client, so it's essential that you take the time to understand his routines, preferences, and goals. Using your initiative and being able to read situations will be key, especially in moments of pressure where he may become overwhelmed. New workers will have the opportunity to shadow his existing team, learning about his routines and support needs. A trial period is offered to ensure the role is a good fit for both you and the client. Key Requirements
- Driver: Due to the nature of the role, you must hold a valid driver's license to assist with transportation when required.
- Allergy-Friendly: Our client's cat is a valued therapeutic companion, so the ideal candidate will not suffer from cat allergies., Provide reminders and support to complete tasks.
- Assist with organising and preparing for situations or appointments.
- Accompany and support social and community activities.
Experience: Previous experience in supporting autistic individuals or working within the care field is highly desirable. - Attributes: A caring attitude, reliability, and a flexible, positive approach are essential for this role.
