Personal Assistant / Carer

The aim of the job is to provide assistance to a woman with autism.

Rate of Pay: £12.00 PH

Shift Pattern: You will be required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week 3 days out of 7 Monday to Sunday. The shifts will be a Tuesday, a Wednesday and a Sunday, however there may be additional hours available. Hours to be discussed with employer.

A reliable and trustworthy person able to take direct instruction is required to assist with all aspects of:

Assisting to access activities in the community
Assisting preparing meals
Any other duties that are relevant and pertinent to the role of carer / personal assistant.

The successful applicant should have a good history and experience of providing care and support. Experience of working with people autism. The employer requires care in several aspects of daily life therefore flexibility is required. Support will mostly on a one-to-one basis.

As driving will be required as part of this role, the successful applicant should have a full driving license. You will be required to take the employer out in your vehicle from time to time. Petrol expenses will be given at 25p per mile.

Applicants must have membership of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) or be willing to join this scheme.
