Service: Development and Infrastructure - Directorate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant/Secretary to the Executive Director of Development and Infrastructure Services. The role of the Personal Assistant/Secretary will be to assist the Development and Infrastructure Services Directorate to deliver an efficient, effective and high quality service by providing first class secretarial and administrative support across a range of duties tailored to the needs of the Executive Director to include, management of correspondence, diary management and general administrative support.
This is a permanent full time post working 35 hours per week based in Lochgilphead.
You will contribute to the work of the Department as required, and to act in accordance with the strategies laid down by the Departmental Management Team.
The successful candidate will establish and maintain good working relationships with the Council’s Heads of Service, Elected Members, Council officials and staff at all levels as well as with other organisations, local communities and people, as well as engaging with individuals, groups and other organisations in an open way to facilitate good working relationships.
Part of the role of Personal Assistant/Secretary will be to exercise your initiative in the routing of enquiries initially directed to the Executive Director from any source, with a view to providing the enquirer with the best quality response from the Department.
The role will also include the planning and arrangements of a number of meetings and events, the Personal Assistant/Secretary will organise agendas and act as the minute taker in a variety of meetings across the Council area.
