Personal Assistants - Various Shifts including Sleepover (SDS / DG / 273927)

We are looking for personal assistant to help a 41year old male who has a brain injury. Although 41 years of age he has a younger mind and is active.

He has his own car, so a driver is essential.

He requires 24/7 care, and you will be working with another 2x staff.

Crossover occurs when showering in the morning so from 8-8.30am 2x staff will be present due to hoist and transfers. He enjoys going out with carers and having a laugh.

He is a wheelchair user and uses lite-writer text to communicate.

Overnight care element means there is a separate room available for your use and access to facilities etc. The family tend to provide an evening meal which you are welcome to be part of. The hours can be split between different workers so if you would like to take on a smaller amount the family will happily consider your application. Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area would be of benefit.

This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).

Driver essential

Moving & Handling training preferred (can be signposted to training if required)
