Solicitor – Specialist Personal Injury
Glasgow or Edinburgh
Salary: Competitive
Hours: Full-time, Hybrid, 9:00am to 5:00pm
Are you a driven and empathetic solicitor with a strong background in personal injury litigation? This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Scottish firm highly regarded in this area of law, work with an excellent team and to play a key role in advocating for clients impacted by historical abuse and violence.
About the Role:
As a Solicitor in our Non-Accidental department, you will manage a diverse and complex caseload from inception to resolution, with opportunities to appear in court. You'll working with highly regarded Partners and colleagues to contribute to the firm’s growth by delivering exceptional results for clients while embracing the firm’s values.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Guiding cases through the litigation process with expertise and empathy.
- Developing technical legal skills to achieve client satisfaction and firm success.
- Staying updated on relevant legislation and best practices.
- Supporting and mentoring team members to build collective expertise.
- Promoting and marketing the firm’s client services.
What We’re Looking For:
- Scottish Qualified Solicitor
- Ideally NQ–5 years PQE with knowledge of general personal injury litigation, including Court of Session and Sheriff Court cases.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- A genuine ability to handle sensitive cases with care.
- Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and membership with the Law Society of Scotland.
- Experience with civil litigation, historical abuse cases, and criminal injuries and expertise in running cases to proof or nearing proof stages is desirable but not essential.
