Position:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of Pharmacy Support Workers within NHS Ayrshire & Arran providing a wide range of pharmacy services to patients across the area based at University Hospital Crosshouse, Kilmarnock.

What you will do:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of Pharmacy Support Workers within NHS Ayrshire & Arran providing a wide range of pharmacy services to patients across the area.

These are rotational posts offering training and experience in all aspects of hospital pharmacy including:

Dispensary, Distribution, Ward top-up, Near Patient Dispensing, the Combined Assessment Unit, Pharmacy Stores and Aseptic services

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Essential qualifications are an A or B pass at National 5 or equivalent in English, Maths, Chemistry and Biology.

Previous Pharmacy experience and a driving license is an advantage but full hospital pharmacy training will be provided, along with the opportunity to attain the SVQ in Pharmacy Services at SCQF level 6 qualification.

Hours:

Post 1: 37 hours per week - University Hospital Crosshouse

Post 2: 37 hours per week - University Hospital Crosshouse

Post 3: 37 hours per week - University Hospital Crosshouse

Post 4: 18.5 hours per week - University Hospital Crosshouse

37 hours per week - University Hospital Ayr 

This post carries a contractual commitment to work on a shift system (which includes a commitment to cover 7 days including weekend and evening). Post-holder will also be required to participate in our Public holiday rotas.
