The East Sutherland Integrated Health and Social Care Service are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the team, working across two community hospitals and the community. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical expertise in the assessment and management of both older and younger adults with complex needs.  The post-holder will work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, in both the in-patient and community settings, dealing with a range of medical, neurological and orthopaedic conditions.  Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

The post-holder will assist their Physiotherapy colleagues with the day-to-day running of the Physiotherapy Department, including the professional development of junior staff, support workers and students.  Evidence of ongoing professional development is expected and knowledge of NHS Policies and procedures is essential.  The successful applicant will be required to hold a degree/honours degree in physiotherapy or equivalent.

This is a permanent full-time post of up to 37 hours (full-time), to be worked in accordance with service requirements.

A driving licence is essential and a pool car will be available, however applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
