Physiotherapist

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Intermediate Care Team based in Glenrothes Community Hospital as part of the Integrated Community Assessment and Support Service (ICASS).

You will require to have experience of working with adults, mainly Older People and have assessment and treatment knowledge and skills associated with this patient group.

Patients are seen in the inpatient wards, their own homes, in the day hospital, now known as Assessment and Rehabilitation Centres (ARC) and within STAR beds (short term assessment and review). The main focus of the team is preventing unnecessary admission, supporting earliest possible discharge from hospital and enabling patients to remain as independent as possible in their homes.

You will require to have a degree in Physiotherapy, be registered with the HCPC and have experience to meet the roles of this post.

There may be occasions where you will be required to work in one of the other community hospital sites. Our service offers regular supervision, PDP and supports training opportunities.

The ability to travel throughout the area is essential as the post includes community working. Working hours flexibly over the week is an expectation. Public holiday working is in operation.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
