Full Job Description

ASCO are seeking an experienced Materials Coordinator who will serve as the main point of contact for all offshore related material requirements within our clients' materials management operating function with emphasis on customer support and the timely tracking and delivery of materials. To perform material planning and coordination activities with a focus on accuracy, quality inputs and optimisation, and to cooperate with stakeholders (Deck Crew, OIM, OMC, OTL, MTL, Albert Quay, Logistics, Marine) and other MM/WH teams Applicants must have existing experience in Warehousing and Materials Management. Offshore experience is mandatory for this role. As our ideal candidate you will be driven by ASCO's passion for safety and service delivery and have excellent communication skills to engage with both internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and prepare for materials arriving (airfreight or vessel)
  • Responsible for receipting outbound manifests.
  • Confirm accurate receipt of material, paperwork and manifest and undertake basic quality assurance check on documentation.
  • Work closely with Deck Crew and Logistics resulting in efficient and productive operations.
  • Keep accurate receipt records and update SAP system in a timely manner.
  • Route and store materials in the appropriate location
  • Undertake schedule of regular Inventory stock check to achieve annual full inventory running count, with any discrepancies are to be investigated and reconciled.
  • Carry out routine Bench Stock checks.
  • Manage the replenishment of Bench Stock and client work order materials.
  • Issue of materials from stores using SAP.
  • Record locations of work orders through appropriate tracking process.
  • Liaise with deck crew and ensure materials are ready for container packing.
  • Ensure correct documentation is provided in compliance policies/legislation including dangerous goods and waste.
  • Generate consignment notes and ensure SAP transactions are completed accordingly.
  • Generate accurate inbound manifests in client system.
  • Coordinate, manage and track hire equipment on the asset.
  • Coordinate, manage and prioritise return of high-cost rentals.

    Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience of using Maximo/SAP or similar ERP system.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing workloads and priorities, without compromising high standards
  • Customer focused, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal & written
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Solutions based, motivated to achieve the highest standards
  • Ability to work stand-alone while a positive contributor to the wider team.
