£8,769 - £9,185 (16 Hours per week, Term-time only)
Methven Primary School Nursery

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Play Assistant to join our dedicated team at Methven Nursery and contribute to the provision of high quality play experiences for our children aged 2 - 5 yrs.

As Play Assistant you will also contribute to the provision of a positive lunchtime experience for our learners, encouraging language development, positive relationships and supporting daily routines in an inclusive and nurturing environment.

The Individual

Being a child focused role, you should be nurturing, patient and compassionate and have a welcoming approach to generate a feeling of trust and safety for children and their families/carers.

A genuine interest in the development of children, their wellbeing and the ability to respect confidentiality at all times is essential.

You will also be kind, respectful and willing to contribute to the work of the nursery team.

You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for Day Care of Children within 3 months of commencing employment and responsible for maintaining annual membership.
