Full Job Description
Eden Scott's client is looking for a dedicated and meticulous individual to join a middle office function . In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently performing assigned tasks to a high standard, ensuring that the required services are met within SLA deadlines. The successful individual will have the opportunity to work independently, manage their own workload, and contribute to the smooth operation of investment account management.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in key financial and investment systems, including transaction records, portfolio statements, financial reports, and other investment account data. This requires attention to detail and a thorough understanding of investment accounting.
You will handle the manual entry of investment account transactions, processing data from client bank or portfolio statements. You will also review and verify automated transactions for accuracy, ensuring that data feeds from external sources align with the client ledger.
It will be your responsibility to raise and resolve any queries promptly, collaborating with other team members or directly with clients to ensure any issues are addressed efficiently. Timely resolution of queries will be crucial to meet deadlines and maintain the integrity of client accounts.
You will prepare key information for clients, such as portfolio summaries, investment performance reports, Trial Balances, and financial statements. Additionally, you may be tasked with preparing liquidation accounts or other detailed financial reports, ensuring that all information is clear, accurate, and up to date.
You will manage more complex entities and areas within the investment accounts process, ensuring that tasks related to intricate client portfolios or complex financial structures are handled with care and precision.
Actively engage in client calls and meetings to discuss ongoing matters, provide status updates on tasks, and track progress against deliverable schedules. You will be expected to maintain a professional relationship with clients and help in managing their expectations.

Person Specification
A solid understanding of investment accounting, financial reporting, and portfolio management is essential. Experience in handling investment accounts or related financial transactions will be a strong advantage.
You must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry, reporting, and analysis of investment transactions.
You should possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess financial data and identify trends or issues within complex investment accounts. A proactive approach to problem-solving is key in this role.
High-level numeracy skills are required, enabling you to perform calculations and analyse financial data accurately. Comfort with numbers and financial data management is crucial.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, as it will be the primary tool for managing, analysing, and reporting on investment account data. Familiarity with financial software and systems is beneficial.
